It was pretty fancy. The kids loved the pool and I loved the spa, the balcony space and view was amazing, the space of the unit was the biggest I’ve ever come across. The bed was so comfortable I couldn’t get out

The old part of the hotel is beautiful and we were there for dinner, drinks and breakfast. The bedrooms are in a new (purpose built) block to the side. We were in a ground floor room (handy for the pool). It was a good size, and we had a patio outside (rooms above have balconies) and it was all lovely, a very good standard and very clean. The pool, jacussi and gym were lovely and opening hours were good. Restaurant served food for us at about 9pm, (local restaurants don't stay open late in winter). There was good parking underneath the hotel, and the staff were v helpful.

The room, gym and swimming pool were excellent. We appreciated the help we received during a busy check-in time. A staff member took the bags to our room whilst one of us parked the car.

The staff at Hilton Lake Taupo were absolutely amazing, especially the lovely Filipinas at the front desk. They really went the extra mile to make sure our stay was super comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were nice and roomy, and we had our own balconies with stunning views of either the lake or the hotel pool.

Great sized room with everything you could wish for supplied. Very quiet and lovely view of the Lake. The bed was sooo comfortable. We enjoyed a special dinner at Bistro Largo with friends and could not fault the food or the wonderful service.

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We were able to check in early and they also made it possible for us to join the restaurant for dinner even though we didn't book on a busy long weekend (rookie mistake). I also rate the pool area and gym facilities (which can be pretty poor at hotels).

My room in the older section (room 7) was excellent and being close to the restaurant & bar was definitely a bonus. Denisse upon my arrival was wonderful and kept checking in with me the entire 6 days to ensure i was comfortable. Of special note, Mele in the Bar area was exceptional. She was polite, efficient and importantly to us, engaged in conversation to make us feel welcome and like locals. ,I believe Mele was relatively new to your establishment but you should be very happy and proud to have her. I did note that her boss one night chastised her for engaging with us by showing us some pictures on her phone which related directly to some high profile guests staying with you that we had been chatting about the night before. She was again, engaging with us which made our stay all the more enjoyable and i thought the comments were not required or warranted.

Our stay at Hilton Lake Taupo was an absolute delight. Accompanied by my wife and daughter, we were all captivated by the outstanding experience. The hotel's pristine environment, exceptional cleanliness, and outstanding service from the staff left us truly impressed. We must extend a special mention to Assistant Front Office Manager Swapnil Jagdale, whose exceptional service stood out, along with his dedicated team. Dining at the hotel was a culinary journey, with delectable food offerings that pleased our palates. This visit held special significance as we were celebrating our daughter's 7th birthday, and Hilton Lake Taupo made it a truly memorable occasion. Our daughter's favorite highlight was undoubtedly the heated swimming pool, where she had endless fun. We eagerly look forward to returning to this wonderful retreat in the near future.

Oh, the bed was super comfortable! The view of the lake from our room was very nice too. The radiant heat made the room room and dry, without the noise of a heat pump. The bathroom had a nice design, especially the shower that had a rain shower and another shower with a handle, which makes it good for two at once. We had dinner at Sorrento, in Taupo, which refreshingly excellent food and service. The main dishes were just the right amount all by themselves. We used the pools, the exercise room, and sauna in the morning, which was brilliant. We wore the robes from the room down and used the towels at the pool. That was a very nice treat!

Beautiful property and friendly staff. We had a one bedroom apartment style room and this was incredibly spacious for our family during the stay and something we were impressed by. Wi-Fi worked well. We used the sauna during our stay and that was good. Breakfast had a broad range of options. Not too far located outside of the centre of town, but we had a car and would not recommend for those without a mode of transport.
